Hunting zones
Until you've set foot in this mythical territory, you won't understand what Alaska is all about. From the city of Anchorage, it's hours by plane and then by 8-wheeler to our base camp. There, you'll realize where you are on the globe. Our hunting zone is located on the coast of the continent opposite, a few dozen kilometers away: Russia. Themillion-hectare zone is a vast region where only the wild dictates the laws. The elements, flora and fauna shape the landscape, with no human traces as far as the eye can see, apart from our little wooden hut, as if lost in the middle of nature. The hunting area is immaculate, and every approach, every day of hunting, is a discovery for you and your guides alike. We're constantly exploring this immense area, which holds surprises every day for decades to come. We urge you to discoverAlaska and our territory, as this experience and adventure will leave its mark on your hunting life.
Logistics
Anchorage: Flight Paris-Anchorage-Nome (2 stopovers). Then a 1-hour charter or floatplane flight over the wilderness. Our own airstrip is at the foot of our chalet in the middle of our area.
Weapons and ammunition are available locally, but your own can enter the country (more or less easily).
Hunting camps
We call our hunting camp a cabin. Rudimentary yet comfortable, our cabin offers a gas kitchen, chairs and tables for meals. Rooms are shared between hunters and guides. In these remote locations, we are a team, eating, hunting and working together. The food, however, is very good. What's more, you'll have the chance to meet and be guided by an interesting local Eskimo.
The hunting method
Hunting involves driving 8-wheeled vehicles up to small hills to gain height and spot coveted animals. Once the animal is spotted, we try to approach it. This is no easy task, because so high up, on the edge of the Arctic Circle, there are no trees. Only the kind of heather that sometimes allows us to conceal ourselves and approach these monstrous animals. Whether you're talking about the imposing grizzly bear or the immense Yukon moose , these animals will impress you with their size, and their trophies.
