Hunting in Ireland
Hunting season: December 1 to February 20
Length of stay: 3 to 7 days
Hunting zone
Our hunting territory in Ireland is immense. Located in the Munster region, this vast hunting area allows us to adapt to the birds' movements. We alternate between different biotopes to find as many scolopacids as possible. In fact, our vast territory offers us fir forests, peat bogs, copses, hedges, large woodlands and young plantations, all areas appreciated by woodcock. Hunting here is both beautiful and sporty. The days are long, with lots of walking. You'll end the day tired.
Logistics
- Direct flight Paris-Dublin in 1h30, then 4h drive to reach the woodcock hunting paradise.
- Weapons and ammunition are available on site, but your weapons are welcome in the country.
The hunting lodge
We've selected a number of local inns and hotels located in the heart of the hunting territory. These establishments, well accustomed to welcoming hunters tired of their day in the great outdoors, will delight you with their pleasant spaces. The conviviality, the local life, the pubs, the gastronomy - all these elements will give you an experience rich in emotion and memories.
The hunting method
We use 2 types of dog. Either a pointing dog for traditional hunting. Pointers, English setters, Irish setters and other pointing dogs, these faithful auxiliaries are perfectly trained to block the birds until you get as close as possible.
Or we use bushy dogs such as springer spaniel, cocker spaniel and others for a different kind of hunt with dogs with shorter quests. Depending on your wishes and physical condition, we can alternate with different dogs.
