Hunting in Greenland:

Hunting season: Spring hunting: March/April
summer hunting: August / September
Length of stay: 6 days
Hunting zone
You're hunting in thousands of hectares of wilderness as far as the eye can see. You're so close to the North Pole that the vegetation is very low. Trees don't grow there. In search of caribou and/or musk oxen, you'll start by finding the animals through a telescope, then draw up an approach plan using the terrain to help you get as close as possible to the animals you're after. Nature dictates the rules in such wild and remote regions. It's up to us to adapt.
Logistics
- Sisimut: Flight Paris-Copenhagen-Sisimiut (1 stopover). Then a 2-hour boat ride to our base camp in the heart of Greenland's hunting zone.
- Weapons and ammunition are available on site, but you can bring your own into the country.
The hunting camp
Our hunting camp is a building set in the middle of nowhere, at the end of the world, in the middle of Greenland. Rudimentary yet comfortable, our lodge offers game-meat cuisine to give you energy to face the cold and the miles of walking.
The hunting method
Depending on the season, you'll travel by snowmobile for spring hunts, or by ATV or boat for summer hunts. Once you've arrived in the area to be explored, you'll abandon your means of locomotion and continue on foot in search of muskox or caribou. Once you've spotted them, all you have to do is get close enough to get a good shot.
